Jasmine Hussein is a PhD student at the University of Szeged. Her research is focused on the electronic monitoring of offenders, particularly in the field of the sanctioning system and the penitentiary law with high emphasis on the criminological perspectives. She graduated in law with a major in criminal justice and holds a master degree (LL.M.) in Basics of Common Law and English Legal Translation.

Jasmine has already participated in many comparative programs (Netzwerk Ost-West; Dreiländer Seminar), as well as in several international conferences (Symposium on European Criminal Justice (Szeged); The Europeanization of Evidence Law in Transnational and Domestic Criminal Justice (Messina)).

Jasmine is currently working on her dissertation, which has a special focus on the digitalization in relation to the potential development of the electronic monitoring of offenders.
